Black Brant Hunting- Cold Bay

If there was ever the perfect Pacific Brant hunt, Cold bay has to be it. With over 150,00 Pacific Black Brant staging up and as many as 45,000 wintering here. You could not dream up or create a better opportunity to hunt the Pacific Black Brant. We utilize 5 Layout boats, Shoreblinds along with boat blinds.  The weather and conditions dictate how we will hunt. Generally, the best Brant hunting takes place during  a 2-4 hour period around the high tide. The  influx of water starts covering up the exposed eelgrasss beds which makes the brant feed and work toward the shoreline.  We will set up and take advantage and the rest is history.
